It's a bit overpriced compared to other flagships in China

Chinese company Oppo is mostly known for its overpriced rather than powerful Android smartphones and the upcoming is no exception to the rule.

Before going into more details, it's worth noting that Xiaomi has recently launched the Mi5 at MWC 2016 and confirmed the flagship smartphone will be available in China for around $305 outright.

The most expensive version of Xiaomi Mi5 has been priced at $415 but comes with Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB of RAM and no less than 128GB of storage.

Today, Oppo listed a brand-new Android smartphone on its official website, the A30, TimesNews reports. The smartphone has been spotted at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, earlier this month.

Although Oppo A30 has been officially introduced in China yet, one user leaked several pictures of the smartphone along with the price tag: $305.

If Oppo launches the A30 for that price, it will be completely destroyed by Xiaomi Mi5. Our statement is based on Oppo A30's specs list, which is now available on the company's site.

Hopefully, Oppo A30 will cost much less than $300

For example, the A30 is powered by a 2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, coupled with an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs 16GB of storage inside, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Also, it sports a 5-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display.

Oppo A30 features a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front.

The A30 will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, and it will be powered by a 2,525 mAh battery.

Between the two smartphones soon to be available on the market, Xiaomi Mi5 would definitely be the better choice for the price you pay.
