The smartphone has just been certified at TENAA

We reported earlier today about OnePlus' next Android smartphone, which seems to belong to the high-end category, the OnePlus 2 Mini.

The mini version of OnePlus 2 comes with the same specs as the standard version with the exception of the display. OnePlus 2 Mini is expected to sport a smaller 4.99-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, a listing at TENAA confirms.

However, it appears that OnePlus 2 Mini has a twin brother dubbed Oppo A30. Oppo is an entirely different Chinese OEM that launches Android smartphones, but upon looking at both OnePlus 2 Mini and Oppo A30, we discovered that they are basically the same device.

The only difference between the two smartphones is the branding on the back cover. Neither Oppo nor OnePlus confirmed the upcoming availability of these devices, but since they have been certified at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, we expect them to be introduced in the next couple of weeks.

In fact, with CES 2016 trade fair just around the corner, Oppo A30 and OnePlus 2 Mini might be announced as early as next week.

Naturally, they might not be available for purchase right away, but the Chinese OEMs are likely to put them on sale by the end of January.

Powerful Snapdragon 810 CPU and 3GB RAM

For those who don't recall OnePlus 2 Mini's main specs, here is a quick rundown that will get you up to speed with the Oppo A30.

First of all, the smartphone will pack a 4.99-inch AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution. Furthermore, Oppo A30 will feature a 13-megapixel camera on the back as well as a secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front.

The handset should come equipped with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

The phone has 16GB of internal memory and offers 4G LTE support, along with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS with AGPS support.
