The launch event will be focused on Chinese market

We reported a few days ago about the upcoming OnePlus 3, which we thought might be unveiled in early April. Along with the rumor of its arrival, some details about the smartphone’s specs have been leaked online as well.

Unfortunately for OnePlus fans, the Chinese company won’t be launching its flagship handset on April 7. OnePlus has confirmed for Android Authority that “the April 7 event is focused on the China market,” but that they “will not be launching our next device then.”

Although it has not revealed what smartphone will be launched next month, OnePlus has stated that “the only thing we can confirm is that it will be an awesome product.”

So if it’s not another handset, what else it could be? Perhaps a power bank or an Android wearable like the Xiaomi Mi Band. We shouldn’t rule out any possibility, including that of a mid-range or affordable smartphone.

Until we know more details on OnePlus’ April 7 event, let’s take a look at what the company’s next flagship smartphone might look like on the inside.

The rumored specs include Snapdragon 820 CPU and 5.5-inch FHD display

According to an AnTuTu benchmark, OnePlus 3, also known as OnePlus A3000, will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, paired with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.

The device will pack 32GB of internal memory, but there’s no mention of microSD card slot. Also, the OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Also, it will ship with Oxygen OS based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box. Keep in mind that these details about OnePlus 3’s specs haven’t been confirmed yet, and since we’re still a couple of months away from its reveal, there’s still time for the Chinese company to change anything inside.

Speaking of which, the OnePlus 3 is likely to be introduced later this June, and it should hit shelves a couple of weeks later.
