Chinese company OnePlus is expected to launch its third flagship smartphone since the beginning of its existence. Although the handset maker usually announces its top-tier handsets during summer, this time OnePlus is expected to launch the next flagship smartphone in spring.

According to a new report coming from GizmoChina, OnePlus 3 will be officially unveiled on April 7. A launch event is likely to take place in Beijing, China, but OnePlus hasn’t confirmed what device will be announced next month.

Along with the information that OnePlus 3 will be revealed on April 7, the same source leaked a partial list of the smartphone’s specs, which appear in AnTuTu benchmark.

Unsurprisingly, the smartphone will come equipped with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM. There’s no mention of microSD card slot, so we can’t confirm the OnePlus 3 will include this feature.

Aside from the powerful hardware under the hood, OnePlus 3 will also boast an impressive 16-megapixel camera on the back, as well as a no-less-impressive 8-megapixel camera in the front.

No Quad HD display for OnePlus smartphones yet

OnePlus’ flagship smartphone should pack no less than 32GB of internal memory, but the Chinese company is expected to launch more variants based on the amount of storage inside.

Also, OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that should support full HD (1080p) resolution (sorry, folks, no Quad HD display yet).

The smartphone is listed as running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, but OnePlus might include Oxygen OS based on Google’s Marshmallow platform.

It’s also worth mentioning that the smartphone appears under the OnePlus A3000 codename. No word on price and availability yet, but if rumors are true, we might not have to wait too long for these details to be confirmed by OnePlus.
