The second modu phone has just made its appearance at the FCC website and is tagged as modu W. There's no additional information since last month when it has been leaked for the first time, but at least we're now sure that the phone is on its way to the market.

modu W, also known as the T-Phone, is the world's lightest touch screen phone and is powered by Android OS. While we're not sure which version of the open-source OS it will run, the device is most likely to get a capacitive touch screen.

This assumption is based on the fact that the phone's pictures on the FCC website do not show any slots for the stylus.

Unfortunately, there's no word on its 3G capabilities, which might be missing. Instead we're sure that the phone features Wi-Fi for data transfers, which will probably replace the missing 3G connectivity.

FCC documents referring to modu W also include a full user's manual, as well as lots of pictures with the device. From these pictures we also find that the small smartphone will be powered by a tiny 490 mAh Li-Polymer battery.

Other features that we noticed from the pictures and user's manual include: microSD card slot for memory expansion, dual volume key, Bluetooth connectivity, 3.5mm audio jack port, USB port, and FM tuning.

Another interesting thing that can be noticed from the pictures is the lack of a camera, which should've been placed on the back of the device.

The phone's SAR value is extremely low at only 0.326W/g, probably because it misses 3G capabilities.

The phone's manual also provides us with the info regarding the sales package of the phone, which will also contain a 2GB microSD memory card, as well as 3.5mm stereo headset.

There's no word about its pricing or the release date of the smallish smartphone, but we might hear about modu W pretty soon as it has already passed the FCC approval.
