The Pocket PC iPod dock has arrived.

I think you all know what iPod docks are and what they are meant to do. I must confess that I still don't know exactly what they're capable of because I haven't been even close to the idea of buying myself an iPod and I'm not even mentioning here one of those docks everyone makes such a fuss about.

From my point of view, the iPods and their docks can have a nice life without me being one of the hundreds of thousands of individuals that deal every day with this Apple flavored music pouring constantly into their ears.

Even if I haven't given a try to one of iPods docks, I would surely give a try to the one that has been manufactured by Brando specially for HTC's TyTN handheld, a music dock also working with the i-mate JasJam, Qtek 9600, O2 XDA Trion, Dopod CHT 9000, Orange's SPV M3100 and Cingular's 8525 Pocket PC.

What will you be getting if you decide to order such a thing? You will get a dock for your favorite Pocket PC, a paperweight (if you need one) and a charging / syncing cradle. The dock offers a set of stereo speakers to enjoy your music on a much louder volume than you were used to, a 3.5 mm line-in jack, a stereo cable and an illuminating LED.

The device is silver gray colored so it will match your TyTN's color to make it feel a lot less lonely, it measures 176x70x42 mm and comes with a pretty fair weight-measures ratio so you won't get the felling the thing is too bulky or too heavy.

You will also enjoy listening to the music stored on your handheld like you have never did before because the dock sports a sound quality way above the one provided by the built-in speakers of you handset.

Even if you won't be able to throw a party with such a small set of speakers, at least you will enjoy your music on a whole new level and, I guess, this is the main reason they've made it in the first place.

Overall, this dock does what it says and if the ones made for the iPod offer the same experience, I suppose this is why so many people buy one. There is one drawback though: the dock doesn't have any type of headphones socket so if you want to sync or charge your phone and listen to music at the same time, you won't be able to do it.

I wonder: do the iPod docks have such a thing?
