Leading navigation solutions provider NAVIGON announced today that it expanded the offering it had in place for the users of an Apple iPhone, and that they could currently enjoy navigation to the Persian Gulf region with The MobileNavigator Gulf+Jordan available in version 1.4.0. According to the company, it now delivers navigation in the area via digital maps that cover the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Jordan, expanding even more its worldwide reach, after being launched in countries like Australia, South Africa and Brazil in 2009.

“Thanks to the App, iPhone users in the Arabic region gain orientation and mobility. The software incorporates important functions like the intelligent name browser to search for street and building names, the programmable speed assistant, real road signs and the Lane Assistant Pro. Furthermore the App offers a number of innovative features. As part of the recently introduced version 1.4.0, NAVIGON offers these features for the iPhone for the very first time. The new features complement the established configuration and thanks to their intuitive handling offer a great navigation experience on the iPhone, based on the best-in-class map view and perfectly timed voice advices,” the company notes.

The MobileNavigator offers a great solution for pedestrians too, via the integrated compass of the iPhone 3GS, the company states. Additionally, they also have the option to zoom in and out in 3D maps, so as to enjoy the best suited view of the map, not to mention that they can easily search for street and building names, or to find a destination through entering the geographic coordinates.

According to NAVIGON, iPhone users can also benefit from integrated Google Local Search, which enables them find places they do not know the address of. Those interested in the MobileNavigator Gulf+Jordan will find it available for purchase in the Apple App Store for the introduction price tag of US$ 99.99. The company also notes that iPhone users in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman, but not Bahrain and Jordan, can access the application.
