Huawei P9’s official unveiling is just around the corner, but information about the upcoming flagship continues to flood the Internet. The latest news about the P9 consists of a press render that shows the dual-camera setup on the back side featuring Leica lenses.

The new picture spotted by Mobilissimo comes directly from China, one of the countries where the P9 will be introduced on April 6.

Huawei and Leica announced last month that they have partnered to provide the smartphone business with better cameras. As soon as the agreement between the two companies was revealed, many have speculated that the P9 could be the world’s first smartphone to pack Leica lenses.

Although we can’t vouch for the picture leaked today, we believe there’s a high chance that the P9 will indeed come with a Leica sensor inside.

Both cameras should include 12-megapixel sensors inside and, as seen in the picture, dual-LED flash. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor on the back side, and possibly metal case.

The rest of the information we have hasn’t been confirmed by Huawei yet, but we’re expecting the P9 to come with either Kirin 955 or Kirin 950 processors inside.

Depending on variant, it could include 3GB or 4GB RAM

In addition, they should boast 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution. Depending on version, the smartphone could boast 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The same goes for the chipset inside and the amount of storage.

We also know Huawei P9 will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box and that there will be no less than 4 variants launched in the coming months: Huawei P9, Huawei P9 lite, Huawei P9 Max and Huawei P9 Enhanced edition.

Each will be priced differently since they won’t feature the same hardware configuration. Naturally, some of these variants will only be available in some countries, while the cheaper version, the P9 lite, should be rolled out globally.
