Huawei fans rejoice, as the Chinese company has just started to send invitations for a launch event that is to take place on February 26 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 trade fair.

While Huawei hasn't confirmed what products it will unveil in late February, we can safely assume that the company's next flagship smartphone, the P10, will be announced at the dedicated event.

The long-time rumored Huawei P10 Plus could be revealed alongside the standard model as well, though we're not yet sure that will happen.

The invitation simply states that the media should “save the date” for Huawei's press conference on February 26 in Barcelona, Spain.

Huawei won't be the only major handset maker to introduce its flagship smartphone at Mobile World Congress.

Rumor has it that LG G6 might be revealed at the trade fair as well since the South Korean company plans to launch the smartphone on the market ahead of Samsung's Galaxy S8.

The P10 is said to be a consistent improvement over the P9

According to the latest reports, Huawei P10 and P10 Plus flagships could be released on the market in March or April. Considering the phones will be revealed in late February, it's very possible that Huawei will be able to start selling its flagships one or two months later.

The P10 will be a considerable upgrade over the current P9 flagship, as Huawei is expected to add a 5.5-inch display instead of the smaller 5.2-inch panel, which will move the device into the phablet category.

A recent report claims the Huawei P10 Plus will be even more powerful thanks to a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and Kirin 960 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM.

In addition, the premium P10 Plus could pack no less than 256GB of internal memory, which could mean Huawei plans to ditch the microSD card slot.

We expect more details on both the P10 and P10 Plus smartphones to emerge in the next couple of weeks prior to the official announcement, so stay tuned.
