The smartphone might be introduced at MWC 2017

Huawei has already confirmed its MWC 2017 press conference will take place on February 27, but it did not provide too many details on the product that will be revealed during the event.

While we can safely assume that the company's Huawei P10 flagship will be announced later this month, there are a couple of other mid-range smartphones that we've learned about in the last few weeks and which haven't been confirmed yet.

The P10 Lite is one of the smartphones that leaked for the first time less than two weeks ago. The smartphone made an appearance at TENAA, which is why we now know some of the most important specs under its hood.

Today, the same Huawei P10 Lite was spotted at Geekbench, your everyday database of benchmark performance results for smartphones. Under model number Huawei WAS-LX1A, the smartphone is likely to be the same P10 Lite that we've seen at TENAA not long ago, leakster Roland Quandt claims.

Single lens camera and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor

The benchmark only lists a couple of details about the Huawei P10 Lite, such as the fact that it's running the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and that it's powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 processor clocked at 1.7GHz.

Also, the smartphone is confirmed to pack 4GB of RAM, but the amount of storage isn't listed for some reason. Even though Geekbench doesn't reveal anything else about the P10 Lite, our previous report contains more information.

For example, the P10 Lite is expected to pack 64GB of internal memory and a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. Also, the smartphone will drain energy from a decent 2,900 mAh battery.

The back side features a single-lens 12-megapixel camera with LED flash, as well as a fingerprint scanner. Also, a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera should be in the front.

It remains to be seen if Huawei will use the opportunity to announce the P10 Lite at MWC 2017, alongside its more powerful brother, the P10.
