Huawei is readying its next flagship smartphone for a March or April launch, so it makes perfect sense for the Chinese company to announce it next month at Mobile World Congress (MWC).

It's unclear how many smartphones Huawei will unveil in late February, but we've received word about two high-end devices that are likely to make their debut at MWC: the P10 and P10 Plus.

However, a third smartphone could be announced at the event, a downgraded version of the Huawei P10. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary since the handset maker previously launched a lower variant of the P9, which is now available on the market as Huawei P9 Lite.

Not to mention that a P8 Lite is available as well. So, is this Huawei P10 Lite real? Sadly, there's no way to tell yet because the only information we got concerns the phone's specs.

A new Huawei smartphone that goes by the code name WAS-AL00 recently received its TENAA certification in China. This means that Huawei could announce the new device in the coming weeks.

No dual-camera setup, but fingerprint sensor on the back

The Chinese regulatory commission lists the most important specs of the device, and judging by these, the WAS-AL00 is a mid-range smartphone that will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system right out of the box.

The most interesting piece of information would be the fact that the phone is powered by a 2.1GHz Kirin processor, which is complemented by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.

On the back, Huawei's smartphone features a 12-megapixel camera, while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. A fingerprint sensor is packed on the back side as well.

Huawei WAS-AL00 sports a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display and packs a 2,900 mAh battery inside. That's about all we know about this unannounced Huawei mid-range handset, but we can safely assume new details will leak in the next few weeks.
