One of the most anticipated high-end Android smartphones, the HTC 10 will be officially introduced on April 12, one day later than rumored.

The information has been recently confirmed by HTC, along with the fact that the event will be streamed live starting at 8am New York, 1 pm London, and 8 pm Taipei.

Aside from that, HTC offered little to no details about its upcoming flagship smartphone, but we expect a steady flow of teasers in the coming weeks following the confirmation of the launch date.

The good news is we already have some details about HTC 10, which, even if not confirmed yet, should quench our thirst for information.

Quad HD display and exceptional camera

For example, HTC 10 is rumored to pack a Super LCD 5 capacitive touchscreen display (5.1- or 5.2-inch), which should support Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

There’s no doubt that the smartphone will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, paired with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.

We still don’t know if HTC will finally adopt the microSD card slot for the “10,” but there’s a slim chance that will happen.

HTC 10 marks the return of the capacitive keys, which might not be to everyone’s taste. Also, the smartphone will include a fingerprint sensor under the Home button.

According to HTC, its flagship smartphone will feature an exceptional rear-facing camera, but not many details are known at the moment.

Last but not least, HTC 10 will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box, and it will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, which is likely to be non-removable.

We also have several pictures of the HTC 10 that have been leaked in the last couple of weeks, so we already have a pretty good idea of what the smartphone will look like.
