LG is expected to announce its G6 flagship smartphone on February 26. The South Korean company has already announced that its press conference will take place at MWC 2017 trade fair in Barcelona, Spain.

Although we had our fair share of leaks about the LG G6, we haven't been offered a glimpse of what's to come since not many pictures of the phone popped up online.

The problem has been rectified by The Verge, as the popular online publication has obtained the first image of the LG G6. As expected, the South Korean handset maker has decided to abandon the modular design and decided to go for a more traditional approach.

The G6 looks more akin to the Galaxy Note phablet than the previous flagship smartphones launched by LG in the last couple of years. Sometimes change is good and LG needs a refresh of its flagship lineup.

Considering the fact that the leaked image comes from a reputable source, there's no doubt that this is what the LG G6 looks like.

Not many details are known about the G6, but based on previous reports, the smartphone is expected to boast a large 5.7-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Design-wise, the G6 will feature an almost bezel-less display with a screen-to-body ratio of more than 90 percent.

Assuming the Galaxy S8 will hit the shelves sometime in late April, the LG G6 could be the second smartphone on the market after Xiaomi's Mi Mix to feature such an amazing all-screen design.

Furthermore, we're also expecting the LG G6 to feature a dual-camera setup on the back, along with a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor and will be waterproof.

Obviously, it will run Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box, but rumor has it LG wants to include Google's Assistant digital personal assistants as well. Hopefully, we'll have more on this soon.
