Earlier today, Gearbox revealed more details about its upcoming free endgame content coming later next month – Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite. Also, if you're playing Borderlands 3, then you know that this is the last week of events that celebrate the series 10th anniversary. This week things are a bit simpler though, as Gearbox is offering a time-limited SHIFT code that will reward players with four creepy Vault Hunter Heads when it's redeemed.

So, you have until November 5 at 12:00 PT to redeem the following SHIFT code on Borderlands.com, on the Gearbox SHIFT site, or via the in-game Social menu in Borderlands 3 before it deactivates: K9W3T-BJZ59-B9SHB-6B3JT-T9CFF.

Moving on to the next important aspect about the game, during the Borderlands Show episode 2, hosts Greg Miller and Fran Mirabella from Kinda Funny, along with Head of Gearbox Story Group Randy Varnell talked about the free Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite endgame content.

Just like the ongoing Bloody Harvest event, Takedowns are more free content being added to the game, but these will be permanent additions that players can tackle when they feel they're ready. The only prerequisite to start the new content is completing the main story campaign, but Gearbox also recommends players to first max out their characters all the way to level 50 and collect a plethora of Legendary gear.

Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite has been designed to be a four-player co-op mission at level 50, so enemies will all scale to that level by default. Of course, there's the option to play the content solo, but that will only probably get you past the first line of defense.

The good news is the Takedown does feature Public Matchmaking, so even if you don't have friends who play Borderlands 3, you can still complete the content by teaming up with matchmade strangers.

According to Gearbox's Randy Varnell, Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite is some of the most challenging Borderlands 3 content yet, but the rewards are definitely worth the risks. Apparently, you'll be able to score loots that it's not available anywhere else, including some of the best shields in the game and exclusive Vault Hunter Head and Skin options.

Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite will arrive for all Borderlands 3 players on November 21, so there's still time to prepare your build if you're not sure you're up to the challenge yet.
