Great news for Asus fans, as the company plans to launch an affordable smartphone by the end of this month, the ZenFone 3 Go. The name has been confirmed by a screenshot taken from the official website of the unannounced device, which hasn't gone live yet.

Asus is expected to announce the ZenFone 3 Go before its much better geared ZenFone 4 is revealed, but the former will definitely be showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this week.

Although Asus hasn't yet confirmed the ZenFone 3 Go, we already know a couple of things about the phone's specs thanks to the folks over at NotebookItalia. Aside from the fact that it's a cheap handset, it looks like the ZenFone 3 Go will be marketed as a great selfie smartphone.

The phone will come with Beautification with Facebook and YouTube, as well as soft LED flash in the front for brighter selfies. In addition, Asus mentions dual MEMS Mics for clearer chats and less noise, along with five-magnet speaker that features smart amp.

LED flash on both front and back sides

Asus ZenFone 3 Go's main camera is positioned on the left upper corner on the back side, unlike most smartphones where the main shooter is located in the middle upper part of the phone.

According to sources familiar with Asus' plans, the ZenFone 3 Go will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. Although there's no mention of storage, we believe the ZenFone 3 Go will pack 16GB of expandable storage.

Since this is a budget-friendly smartphone, it's no surprise that it comes with a 5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution. As mentioned earlier, the ZenFone 3 Go will feature LED flash on both front and back sides.

However, the phone will include a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and only a 5-megapixel selfie shooter in the front. The ZenFone 3 Go is supposed to cost somewhere between $160 and $175 outright, but there's no mention of the Android OS version it will run.
