Asus unveiled two impressive phones during CES 2017, the ZenFone AR and ZenFone 3 Zoom, the former integrating Google’s Tango technology. Asus is preparing to announce yet another exciting smartphone, the ZenFone 4.

Asus is expected to unveil a new smartphone during the upcoming MWC 2017 event set in late February. The ZenFone 4 recently appeared on a listing at GFXBench revealing some specs for the upcoming phone, according to the Android Soul.

The smartphone appears to come with a 5.7-inch display with impressive Quad HD resolution, which translates to 2560 x 1440 pixels. Moreover, it seems to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8200 SoC, a chipset that was featured in many flagships released last year.

6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage

The list of impressive specs continues with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory for the upcoming ZenFone 4. Users might be able to add more storage with a microSD card, but that remains to be determined.

In terms of camera capacity, the ZenFone 4 appears to feature a 21MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper in the front. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat and might receive an update to 7.1 Nougat sometime after it’s released.

Asus might provide the ZenFone 4 in many variants with different internal memory and RAM capacities inside, we’ll just have to see the official announcement to confirm this. Reports from last month stated that Asus might announce the ZenFone 4 in May, but recent rumors point the unveiling to late February.

Details about the ZenFone 4’s pricing and availability are unknown at this point, but we do expect its price tag to be lower than for the ZenFone AR, which will be made available in the second quarter of 2017. ZenFone AR is the first Tango-enabled and Daydream-ready smartphone, incorporating 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 821 SoC, which surprisingly isn’t the latest processor from Qualcomm.
