In the heat of the MWC trade fair, we might have overlooked one device that's been quietly introduced by Taiwanese company Asus - the ZenFone Live.

Originally leaked as Asus ZenFone 3 Go, the smartphone is likely to be launched on the market in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, Asus hasn't revealed any information on when the phone will be available for purchase and for how much.

However, judging by the specs confirmed by Asus, this will be a budget-friendly smartphone to say the least. First of all, the ZenFone Live will not ship with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. Instead, Asus chose to include a previous Android 6.0 Marshmallow version on board.

We also know the smartphone sports a 5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution. Asus ZenFone Live is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, which is coupled with 2GB RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB).

The 13-megapixel rear-facing camera features f/2.0 aperture, autofocus and LED flash, whereas the 5-megapixel selfie camera has a 1.4 um pixel size module and f/2.2 aperture. A LED flash is available in the front as well, along with a couple of interesting shooter modes: manual, night, and selfie.

According to Asus, the ZenFone Live is “the world’s first smartphone with hardware-optimized, real-time beautification technology, making it possible to share an even more glamorous version of yourself–Live.”

The smartphone benefits from dual MEMS microphones that greatly help eliminate background noise and enhance voice pickup. In addition, an innovative five-magnet speaker, smart amp for powerful audio, as well as FM Radio are included too.

Asus ZenFone Live drains energy from a 2,650 mAh non-removable battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 16 hours of talk time or up to 19 days of standby time.
