Apple released today the second minor maintenance release to the latest iOS 12.3 operating system for supported iPhone devices to address various critical bug fixes.

Coming only ten days after the iOS 12.3.1 release, the iOS 12.3.2 software update (build 16F250) is now available with improvements for the Portrait Mode on certain devices, such as the iPhone 8 Plus. Most probably, this update also addresses some critical security vulnerabilities and other minor issues.

According to Apple, some iPhone 8 Plus users reported an issue that caused the Camera app to capture photos in Portrait Mode without the depth effect, which causes the subject in the image to stand out by creating a blur effect in the background. The iOS 12.3.2 update is only available for iPhone 8 Plus devices.

How to update your device to iOS 12.3.2

If you're running the latest iOS 12.3 mobile operating system on your iPhone 8 Plus device, you can now update to the iOS 12.3.2  release by opening the Settings app, accessing the General section, and then the Software Update area. There, you can download and install the iOS 12.3.2 version on your device.

We recommend all users to update their devices to the latest iOS release as soon as possible in order to have a more safe, stable, and secure operating system on their iPhone and iPad devices. iOS 12.3 was released last month with the all-new TV app, AirPlay 2 support, improved Wi-Fi calling, and more.

This fall, in September, Apple will release the iOS 13 mobile operating system for iPhone devices, a major version that adds countless new features and enhancements like a system-wide Dark Mode, improved battery charging, revamped Reminders app, an enhanced iOS keyboard, and performance improvements.
