Apple released today its highly anticipated iOS 12.3, macOS Mojave 10.14.5, tvOS 12.3, and watchOS 5.2.1 operating system updates for all supported devices with new features and many improvements.

It's time to update your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV devices because Apple just released the iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3 software releases, which bring the all-new TV app, along with the Apple TV Channels feature that promise to boost your TV experience to the next level.

Revealed earlier this spring, the new TV app and Apple TV Channels feature aim to replace the need for you to check every TV app you have installed for new episodes or movies. The TV app on iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3 will be the centre of your home entertainment, and it doesn't require third-party apps to be installed.

The Apple TV channels feature will offer you free 7-day subscriptions for many popular TV channels, including HBO, Cinemax, Epix, Showtime, Starz, MTV Hits, UMC, Lifetime Movie Club, Tastemade, CuriosityStream, Comedy Central Now, Sundance Now, Acorn TV, PBS Living, Smithsonian Channel Plus, and many others coming soon.

The revamped TV app is also available now on Samsung TVs, along with AirPlay 2 support with an upcoming firmware update. The iOS 12.3 update also adds AirPlay 2 support for sharing your videos, photos, music, and other files from your iPhone or iPad to an AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV.

On top of that, AirPlay 2 brings one-tap playback for automatically playing your favorite TV shows and movies on the last screen used based on location and time, AirPlay support for Siri Suggestions when watching movies and TV shows, as well as on-device intelligent suggestions to keep your personal information private.

The iOS 12.3 update improve Apple Music's For You tab to update several times per day and suggest music based on themes like artists, genres, and moods, improved support for Wi-Fi calling, an improved Apple TV Remote feature that can now correctly pause videos or change the volume on supported devices.

What's new in macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and watchOS 5.2.1

Also today, Apple released the macOS Mojave 10.14.5 software update for Mac users, which also adds AirPlay 2 support for sharing videos, photos, music, and lots more from your Mac computer to a smart TV that supports AirPlay 2, better audio latency on MacBook Pro 2018 models, and better support for large OmniOutliner and OmniPlan documents.

On the other hand, the watchOS 5.2.1 software update brings ECG functionality for more European countries on the Apple Watch 4 Series models. You can now update all of your devices to the iOS 12.3, macOS Mojave 10.14.5, tvOS 12.3, and watchOS 5.2.1 software releases via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates.
