As expected, Apple released today the Public Beta 4 builds of the upcoming iOS 11, High Sierra 10.13, and tvOS 11 operating systems to public beta testers, after it seeded the other day the fifth Beta builds to registered developers.

Featuring the same improvements that Apple's engineers implemented in yesterday's Beta 5 release for iOS 11, as well as macOS 10.13 High Sierra and tvOS 11, the Public Beta 4 update is now available for all users running iOS 11, macOS 10.13, or tvOS 11 Public Beta 3 on their registered devices.

iOS 11 Public Beta 4 removes the iCloud Messages feature that allowed users to store their iMessages on iCloud when they wanted to free up space on their iOS devices, revamps the Camera and Settings icons, as well as the Control Center's Music app, which now lists nearby audio sources like AirPods and Apple TV.

It also updates the indicator bar of the Screen Recording feature to be displayed in red color instead of blue like it was in the Public Beta 3 release, so that it can be more visible when recording your iDevice's screen. On the other hand, the macOS High Sierra 10.13 and tvOS 11 Public Beta 4 builds bring various bug fixes.

Public beta testers should download the update now

All iOS 11, macOS High Sierra 10.13, and tvOS 11 public beta testers running the Public Beta 3 or a previous update are urged to download the Public Beta 4 release right now using the built-in OTA (Over-the-Air) update system on iOS 11 and tvOS 11, as well as via Mac App Store on macOS High Sierra 10.13.

The next Public Beta build is expected in about two weeks from today, on August 22, 2017.

Apple will launch the final versions of its upcoming iOS 11, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 operating system worldwide next month, along with new iOS devices, such as the rumored iPhone 8, which will be powered by iOS 11. A release date is not yet known, and unlikely to be imminent.
