Zenum Technologies, a Swiss company dedicated to modern design and technology, revealed an upcoming launch of a new and mysterious mobile phone. Until now, the Switzerland-based manufacturer released only one handset, in the second quarter of 2007, a stylish and nice-featured smartphone named Zenum Opus.

Running on Windows Mobile 6 and packing a full QWERTY keypad, Zenum Opus was cataloged by everyone as being a beautiful smartphone, and no wonder, since it's clearly one of the best looking devices in this class. The name of Zenum's new handset is unknown yet, as well as any other detail about it. All we have is a teaser image showing the phone more than half-covered with a red cloth. As far as the uncovered part lets us see, we can say that the future phone is a very good looking one, smaller than the previous Zenum creation but most certainly more powerful and with more features. It is possible for the phone to have a slider design, but this might prove to be just a wrong guess.

Zenum Opus is a tri-band GSM phone that comes with touchscreen functionality, GPRS, Bluetooth, a 2 Megapixel camera and other cool features, so we should expect the new phone to have at least these specifications too, plus some added features. Maybe a huge built-in memory, a 5 Megapixel camera, 3G or an innovative interface - we have to wait and see. Most probably, more info about the mysterious Zenum phone will be made available at the Mobile World Congress that will take place in Barcelona between 11 and 14 February 2008.

Since Zenum Opus is available for a price of almost $1000, we can assume the new Zenum phone will retail for a similar price. However, it's clear that the Zenum phones are not targeted for casual mobile users, but for those who want and can afford great functionality packed with great style.
