How exactly does Microsoft plan to take over the Japanese market with the brand new XBOX 360 ? This is the question on everybody's mind these days.

Microsoft has recently held a press conference at the German Games Convention and announced that the XBOX 360 would be available to public for $299.99 (the standard version), or $399.99 (the version with hundreds of dollars worth accessories).

Tokyo Game Show is scheduled to begin on 16th September, but MS announced another press conference for the day before that, to reveal more details regarding the XBOX 360 launch on the Japanese market. This new platform will deliver not only the most powerful console, but also the best games, the next generation of the XBOX Live service and some amazing entertainment experience.

XBOX 360 has a built-in Ethernet port for easier connecting which allows users to access the above-mentioned XBOX Live service. Gamers will be able to chat with friends, build up and share their profiles, exchange text and/or voice messages and access the Marketplace for new content.

Microsoft also announced that the Premium version (with the metallic signature on the console) includes : * XBOX 360 Console - Three core processors , 16X9 aspect ratio, anti-aliasing for smooth textures, surround sound, and DVD playback * XBOX 360 Hard Drive - 20 GB detachable HDD to store different types of content * XBOX 360 Wireless Controller - Quick distant access to content from even 30 feet * XBOX 360 Faceplate - The faceplate comes in white but can be changed according to the gamers' personality * XBOX 360 Headset - Communication services on XBOX Live * XBOX 360 Component HD AV Cable - Peer-to-peer connectivity * XBOX Live Silver membership - Access XBOX Live's Marketplace for exclusive content * Bonus Media Remote - A single remote control to play all media content

The Standard version will include only the Console, the Controller, the Faceplate and the Composite AV Cable.

Anyway, seems that Microsoft will launch its Console a few months earlier than its Japanese competitor, Sony. That's pretty strange, so we're all looking forward to see their reaction. Hopefully, the press conference in mid-September should clear it all up for us.
