The European Xbox 360 could have a higher price

According to Eurogamer.net and Gameindustry.biz, sources from the British gaming industry have announced that the European launching of Xbox 360 might take place on November 25.

This date might be true, considering that a few days ago, there was a rumor that WalMart will sell Xbox 360 starting in November, somewhere between 4 and 17.

Microsoft has always said that it wants Xbox 360 on the stores' shelves during the holydays and that the US and Japan launching might be followed by the European one.

Although the date of November 25 has thrilled many, the information on the price could make many gamers think twice before rushing into the store.

According to the same sources, Xbox 360 will sell for 299 pounds, which means almost 530 dollars. So far, everybody has been talking about $300, but Microsoft has never confirmed this information.

These sources consider that the announcements made by Sony, related to Play Station 3's higher prices, have determined Microsoft to increase the price. Although initially Microsoft was planning to sell its console for 249 pounds, now it has other plans.

To counteract Microsoft's plans, it seems that Sony will make significant cuts on the Play Station 2 consoles, whose prices are expected to go down with up to 75 pounds, which could jeopardize Xbox 360's launching, if the price is confirmed.
