14 DAY TRIAL // Recently, wireless carrier Vodafone UK has announced the pre-order availability of a new Android-based smartphone, the high-end HTC Desire HD.
Following various rumors regarding the handset's arrival at wireless carriers in the UK, the announcement made by Vodafone comes as a confirmation of the upcoming availability of the phone on the market.
“The highly anticipated HTC Desire HD is now available on pre-order free from just £35pcm,” a recent tweet from the wireless carrier reads. “Contact us via http://bit.ly/VFWRT to order yours,” the message continues.
Moreover, the wireless carrier seems set to have the new Android-based mobile phone available for its users before the end of the month, at least this is what another tweet from the company reads.
“We anticipate it to be with us by the end of the month,” one other tweet reads. “We'll make an announcement when we have more information. We've said anticipated so as to manage expectations,” the carrier continued.
Those interested in the new mobile phone are offered the possibility to register via email to receive updates on when the device would be put on sale.
It appears that both new and existing users are offered the possibility to purchase the new device, at least this is what the carrier notes on the said twitter account.
In case there are some who might not know what the new HTC Desire HD is all about, we should note that it is the latest high-end Android smartphone from HTC, boasting a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, as well as a powerful processor and enhanced capabilities.
Powered by the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system version from Google, the handset was announced officially last month, and arrives as the European version of the HTC EVO 4G, which was put on sale earlier this year at US carrier Sprint.
When announcing the phone, HTC unveiled that it would be released later this month via various carriers in Europe, and Vodafone UK is among those to have it, it seems.
