Mobile phone carrier Vodafone UK has just announced a special offering put in place for its customers interested in the acquisition of a new HTC Sensation smartphone on a monthly contract.

The wireless operator will offer the lucky few the possibility to get the smartphone for free on only £17.50 per month, with contract agreements for only 18 months.

The deal would have the carrier's £35 per month plan available at half the price, but with the same amount of minutes, texts and data included in the package as for those who pay the full monthly cost.

The special offering was announced on the carrier's forums, and is part of a promotion that will run this week until Friday.

“We love the new HTC Sensation and to celebrate its launch, we’ve pulled together a sensational deal for a handful of lucky customers,” the wireless carrier announced.

“We’re offering you the chance to get the HTC Sensation free for just £17.50 per month on an 18 month contract, including 600 UK minutes for calls to mobiles and landlines (starting 01, 02 or 03), unlimited UK text messages, and 500MB of UK data.”

The carrier also notes that the plan would normally cost £35 per month, but that they decided to offer users the possibility to get the new device at a great new price.

As for what users would need to do, things are simple. They need to be at least 18 years old and to live in the UK to qualify, and would have to be registered as a member of the Vodafone eForum.

There, the wireless carrier will post a question each day this week at 1pm, and users will have at their disposal six hours to come up with the correct answer.

The carrier will select winners as follows: “There will be one winner on day one (Monday 13th June 2011). Two winners on day two, three winners on day three, four winners on day four and five winners on day five (Friday 17th June 2011).”

“We'll not be responsible if your entry is incomplete, lost or doesn’t comply with the rules,” the wireless carrier also notes.

Those interested in the new deal on HTC Sensation should head to the wireless carrier's forum here to learn more on the offering.
