Wireless carrier Vodafone UK has just joined forces with Orange and O2 in the process of offering Apple iPad 3G owners the possibility to enjoy the capabilities of the device on 3G networks. On Monday, the mobile services provider announced that it had put in place special 3G data plans for iPad users, which are already available for those willing to try the device on its network.

Two plans are available for Vodafone's customers with an iPad WiFi+3G, both with 30-day lengths. According to Vodafone, users are free to activate or cancel the plans at any given time. The options available from Vodafone for iPad owners include a £10 data plan that includes 1GB of traffic, along with a £25 option that includes 5GB of traffic.

“Our 3G price plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G offer customers great value on the UK’s best network,” Guy Laurence, CEO, Vodafone UK, commented on the introduction of the new special plans for Apple's iPad 3G. “We’re giving customers the power to make the most of iPad when they want, whether they’re on the move, at home or abroad.”

At the same time, Vodafone announced International options for iPad users, including a £9.99 per day solution that offers them up to 50MB of use. The best part of the deal is that the plans to do require users to commit to long-term contracts, as these plans roll over every 30 days. However, one might notice that the £25 plan comes with only 5GB of data, while other carriers offer a higher amount of traffic for the same price.

According to Vodafone, “users can browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface. iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G models are just 0.5 inches thick and weigh just 1.6 pounds—thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook—and deliver up to 10 hours of battery life for surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching videos or listening to music, and up to nine hours of surfing the web using a 3G data network.”
