On Wednesday, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced the launch of two new handsets running under Google's Android operating system, the HTC Desire HD and the Desire Z, both of which come with a new HTC Sense solution

, and which can be seen in the photos and video below.

Both new phones made it into the headlines before, though it was only yesterday that their full specifications became available, along with info on when they would be released on the market.

The new HTC Desire HD comes with a bright 4.3” LCD display, complemented by a new 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor and by Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual sound.

Moreover, the new mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with dual flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities, and enough storage space to please almost anyone.

According to the handset vendor, the new device steps on the same road as Legend, and comes with a unibody design, being sculpted from a block of solid aluminum.

Not to mention that it sports the new HTC Fast Boot to offer customers the possibility to make calls or check emails faster than before, as it is shortening the time taken to complete the power-up sequence.

“Our customers will value the holistic approach we’re taking to enhance their mobile experience. This customer-first philosophy has resonated with people buying HTC phones and this drives us to continue introducing new innovative smartphones like the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z,” Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation, stated.

As for the new HTC Desire Z, it offer fast connectivity with social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, while also offering fast typing capabilities on its sliding QWERTY keyboard.

The specifications list of the new device includes a new 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor for enhanced performance capabilities, along with the aforementioned HTC Fast Boot solution.

Moreover, the phone comes with a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, as well as about all the features and specs another device from the company lands on the market with, the T-Mobile G2.

Both HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z should land on the market in Europe and Asia starting with October, while the latter is expected to make it to shelves in North America too before the end of the ongoing year.
