Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is gearing up for the release of a new Android-based handset on its airwaves, the Motorola DROID Pro, and some more info on its has just emerged into the wild.

It appears that the carrier have in plan to release the new smartphone on its airwaves on November 11th, and that it would have it priced at no less than $299.

The company reportedly put up a test page on its website, which pointed towards both the said release date and the aforementioned price tag, a recent article on Droid-Life reads.

Moreover, it appears that the Motorola DROID Pro might cost at Verizon Wireless as much as $700 if purchased unsubsidized.

Previous rumors on this Android device also pointed towards a November 11th launch date (the carrier would plan releasing more than one phone on that day), but nothing was known so far on its price tag.

Nothing has been officially confirmed for the time being, so we'll get this with a grain of salt at the moment, but we wouldn't be surprised if things turn out this way.

However, if the rumor pans out, the DROID Pro would become the most expensive Android handset available in the United States.

Most of these phones are usually priced at around $199 upon the signing of a contract agreement, with Samsung Epic 4G available on Sprint at $250 on contract.

One thing that should be noted here is that the subsidized price tag of these devices includes mail-in rebates, and it might go down to $199 for DROID Pro too with a MIR attached to it.

Of course, there are great chances that the new mobile phone would be priced lower when made available for purchase, even if it comes as a business device with dual-mode CDMA / GSM capabilities.

The specs list of this handset includes a 1 GHz processor, a portrait QWERTY keyboard in a candybar form factor, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, a microSD memory card slot, 3G Mobile HotSpot capabilities, and more.

November 11th is only a few weeks away, and more info on this should emerge until then, so keep an eye on this space for more.
