Verizon Wireless is preparing to launch this week a new service called “Express Services” that will enable its subscribers to access a wide range of account management tools. Verizon Wireless customers will be able to quickly and conveniently manage their accounts at home or on the go.

Besides the call logs, billing history and Friends & Family management tools, Verizon Wireless' “Express Services” lets customers explore their account activity quickly and easily, and complete transactions, changing an address, adding a new line of service, or activating a new phone.

The services are available when using My Verizon online or when accessing My Verizon Mobile from any Android device .

“Now, with one click, customers can use Express Services to select the transactions they want, with time-saving account management services that are simple to use and consistent across multiple touch points, empowering them to save time and control their wireless services, whenever and wherever they want,” said John Stratton, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Verizon Wireless.

All the compatible devices are part of the carrier's offer, and are powered by the Android operating system. The My Verizon Mobile will first be available on DROID by Motorola, DROID 2 by Motorola, DROID X by Motorola, DROID R2-D2 by Motorola, Motorola DEVOUR, DROID ERIS by HTC, DROID Incredible by HTC, LG Ally, and the Samsung Fascinate.

The new services will be pushed OTA through an update that will be released this week. Those using My Verizon app on Android devices will receive an alert to install the free update.

Those that don't have the My Verizon application yet can download it from Android Market.

Verizon Wireless is planning to make more devices compatible with its new Express Services, and will introduce additional changes on the voice response system that customers use when they call customer service, by the end of the year.
