The stock issues and delays of DROID Incredible at Verizon Wireless continue. The shipments of DROID Incredible units ordered from the carrier's website have been delayed even more. While those who would order their device today should expect to receive their unit by July 29, providing that all goes according to plan, Verizon customers who were supposed to receive their unit on June 28 would have to wait seven more days from that date for the unit to arrive.

According to the wireless carrier, some of the DROID Incredible units expected to arrive in customer's hands on June 28 or around that date will ship with a delay of a week. Users won't receive their Incredible until July 4, though it seems that the company has found a means to compensate for the distress. In case the device's shipping is delayed, users would receive a $25 Verizon Wireless gift card, so as to “thank” users for their patience.

“If your order shipping date was June 28 or prior, you may experience an additional delay of up to 7 business days. We will send an update with tracking information once your device has been shipped. If you have already received your device, please disregard this notice. Your satisfaction is important to us, so we’re also sending you a $25 Verizon Wireless gift card which may be redeemed online or at any Verizon Wireless retail store as a way of saying “thank you” for your patience in this matter. No additional action on your part is required – we will send the gift card to the address you provided with your order in the next two weeks,” Verizon reportedly states in a mail sent out to some of those who ordered the handset, Android Central reports.

It seems that Verizon has finally accepted that it won't be able to resolve DROID Incredible stock issues in the near future. The problems were caused by low supplies of touchscreen displays from Samsung, and HTC chose to pack displays from Sony with some of the units, so as to be able manufacture more Incredible units. Until the issue is solves, Verizon comes up with its own solutions, including the $25 gift card we've just learned about. Users who ordered the DROID Incredible are also offered the possibility to switch to another device.
