Mobile-phone carrier Verizon Wireless has recently announced the launch of new solutions for its customers, in the form of Actsoft’s suite of GPS-based business management applications. According to the company, the new offering is accompanied by a new billing option that will give qualified enterprise customers the possibility to have services billed on their Verizon Wireless bill, Actsoft's solution included.

The new Mobile Resource Management solutions from Actsoft have been designed to enable businesses of all sizes to benefit greatly from the latest advances in GPS, mobile and Web technologies so as to improve economical efficiency. Actsoft's products offer a great level of control to enterprise customers, including the possibility to improve their workforce and asset utilization, or to control the operating costs.

The Actsoft solutions now released on Verizon Wireless' airwaves include: - Comet EZ – A simple, Web-based GPS tracking and time keeping solution, accessible from any PC with Internet connectivity; - Comet Tracker – A more robust solution that is both client- and Web-based, provides order entry dispatch, wireless forms, customized alerts and valuable reporting capabilities; - Comet Mobile Worker – Actsoft’s most advanced product – serves as a turn-key solution for everything from work order management to vehicle engine monitoring. According to the wireless operator, Actsoft also becomes one of the first companies that will benefit from the new Verizon Wireless single billing option. Moreover, the carrier also states that it plans on selling out the single bill program to other solution providers during the ongoing year. Tom Mitchell, Actsoft’s chief executive officer and founder, expects the collaboration with Verizon to prove a significant contributor to Actsoft’s ongoing success on the market.

“We are pleased to have the suite of Actsoft enterprise software solutions available through our joint marketing relationships and even more excited that we can offer customers the convenience of a single bill,” Rose Kirk, vice president – enterprise and government operations for Verizon Wireless, said. “Tracking invoices can be time consuming for customers who need to be able to analyze wireless expenses in an environment that reflects total spend. Our single bill platform can help customers better understand their wireless investment.”
