Killzone 3 is set to be released on February 22, 2011 and the developers have been very vocal about telling gamers that the third game in the first person shooter series will be more interesting on the narrative front than its predecessor while also delivering evolved combat mechanics.

Now one of the developers has enticed fans even further saying that the game will be crammed with information about how the Helghast are coping with the death of their leader, with at a few narrative strands which will be finally joined in the final section of the video game.

Steven Ter Heide, who is the senior producer working on Killzone 3, told Destructoid that, “The thing about Killzone’s storyline is that while it always takes a backseat to the action, you can learn a lot about its universe by carefully reading between the lines.”

He added, “When you listen to all the bits of Helghast dialogue in the previous game, for instance, it’s clear that they don’t consider themselves villains at all. From their perspective it’s the ISA pursuing the aggressive imperialist policy; they’re just defending Helghast interests.”

Ter Heide from Guerrilla Games also says that there will be a more nuanced view on morality in Killzone 3 than in previous games, with the two main perspectives being challenged.

Killzone 3, an exclusive to the PlayStation 3 from Sony, is an important video game because it's the first title to combine the motion tracking Move technology with three dimensional gaming while also being mainly aimed at the more hardcore gaming crowd.

I experienced Killzone 3 with both innovations at the Gamescom event in August and it seemed that the people at Guerrilla are taking great care to make the game entirely playable with Move and its sub controller, offering the same experience as that with a normal controller.
