Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, the newest installment in the extremely successful PlayStation 3 action adventure franchise, has just received a concrete release date and a full trailer video during this weekend's Spike TV Video Game Awards.

Even if the existence of the game was revealed a few days before the start of the awards ceremony, fans were still thrilled to see the first actual gameplay footage as well as in-game cinematics with leading man Nathan Drake and his longtime partner Victor "Sully" Sullivan.

In case you haven't read our previous articles, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will take its main hero, Nathan Drake, to the Arabian Desert, in search of a lost city beneath the sands, filled with fantastic treasures and, as usual, lots of danger.

The developer of the series, Naughty Dog, promises that we will see visuals that surpass Uncharted 2, which was praised for its great graphics and stunning experience, as well as new technologies at work.

New particle effects will be used to recreate the most realistic sand in video games today, while the title will be playable in full stereoscopic 3D, provided you have an expensive 3DTV set.

Uncharted 3, like its subtitle suggests, will see its story take on themes like treachery and deception, both in the relationship between Drake and Sullivan, but also between other characters, who have yet to be revealed.

Uncharted 3 will also feature an overhauled multiplayer mode, that will provide an improved experience over the one first featured in the second game.

Both competitive and co-operative multiplayer modes will be included, so make sure you have enough friends when the game is launched.

Speaking of release dates, the trailer video below also has the date when Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is appearing exclusively on the PlayStation 3: November 1, 2011.
