US Cellular seems determined to offer its customers some of the most popular mobile phones currently available on the market. It seems that the carrier's roadmap has recently showed that its subscribers will soon be able to enjoy devices such as the HTC Touch Pro and the BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip, not to mention a series of other entry-level and mid-range mobile phones.

According to the news, the HTC Touch Pro should be launched as soon as April 17. The device is expected to come around with a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, GPS capabilities, WiFi connectivity and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. In addition, it seems that the HTC Touch Pro is meant to replace the old and rusty HTC Mogul, which is part of the carrier's smartphone lineup at the moment.

The second popular handset that US Cellular should add to its offering is the BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip, which is expected to land in mid-June. Although it does not come as the most successful device RIM launched to the market, it is surely different from the rest of the BlackBerries due to its form factor.

Among the other mobile phones that the wireless operator should add to its lineup in 2009 we can also count the Samsung Gloss U440, Samsung R311 and LG UX840, at least this is what some posts on PhoneArena’s forums suggest.

The HTC Touch Pro and BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip would be some rather attractive devices offered by US Cellular, in case the rumors prove true in the end, and they would also show that the country's largest mobile phone operators are not the only ones able to offer their users attractive devices, but smaller ones can do so as well. It remains to be seen what other handsets US Cellular has in store for its customers besides the aforementioned models, so stay tuned to learn more details as they surface.
