14 DAY TRIAL // TripAdvisor, one of the world's largest travel site, recently announced that has signed a new agreement with Finnish handset manufacturer Nokia, which will include an Ovi application for Nokia's Ovi Store, as well as integration of the TripAdvisor service into Nokia's Ovi Maps.
The application will allows users to search for specific points of interest such as, popular hotels, restaurants and attractions in their vicinity. They will also be able to find the best deals available when it comes to flights. TripAdvisor application will be available in 12 different languages, which will make it available for users around the world. Travelers around the globe that use the application will also be able to post their reviews while on the go.
"Our collaboration with Nokia further strengthens our commitment to providing trusted and valuable travel advice at home or on the go," said Steve Kaufer, TripAdvisor founder and CEO. "We are thrilled to launch TripAdvisor for Nokia which gives even more travelers a new way to access the more than 35 million traveler reviews and opinions available on TripAdvisor."
A dedicated TripAdvisor service will also be integrated into the Ovi Maps GPS application, as part of the deal.

The TripAdvisor integration means Nokia users get immediate access to the latest user reviews of the restaurants, hotels, and attractions in their immediate area, or anywhere else in the world they may want to discover while on the go. Global free drive & walk navigation on Ovi Maps means that once you find that great place, you are sure to get there hassle-free using Ovi," said Robert Rogers, Senior Manager, Ovi Publish.
After making its services compatible with iPhone, Android and Palm Pre users, TripAdvisor application is now available for free to all Nokia Symbian touchscreen smartphone. The software will be available for download from the Ovi store. TripAdvisor for Ovi Maps is launching this week in select markets, while full global roll-out is scheduled within a month.
