The newly released BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone from Research In Motion might have been off for a slow start, but it seems that things might straighten up in the future, as more and more carriers around the world add it to their offering.

Among them, we can count SaskTel, which has just placed the device on its website with a “coming soon” tag next to it.

The wireless carrier already promised to launch the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 device on its airwaves before the end of this month, and it seems that it is getting nearer to that day.

For the time being, the company did not announce officially when it would make the slider available for purchase, MobileSyrup notes in a recent article.

However, there are great chances that it would make the move the same day as other carriers in the country do so, including TELUS, Rogers, Bell and Virgin Mobile, namely on September 24th, or shortly after.

While awaiting for official confirmation on this, we should take a look at other info on the new BlackBerry slider from Research In Motion.

It seems that a new software solution leaked into the wild for this device recently, namely OS 6.0.0.225.

According to a recent article on CrackBerry, the new OS leak should come around with some more improvements when compared to the previously leaked solutions.

However, those who are interested in downloading and installing the OS on their devices should keep in mind that it is an unofficial release, and that there might be a series of bugs in the package.

The leaked OS should prove a nice option when it comes to learning what does RIM have in store for its users for the future.

Those who will try out the new solution would do so at their own risk, and should consider backing up their devices prior to making the move, just as to make sure that they do not lose important files in the process.

More details on the leaked OS 6.0.0.225 for Torch 9800 and on where it can be found available for download are available at CrackBerry here.
