Well, it really seems that there's really nothing the iPad can't do, when paired with a suitable app and an external accessory, and the guys over at ION Audio seem to have managed to turn the aforementioned Apple tablet into an instructor for teaching users how to play piano music.

Indeed, this product might seem just a tad strange, but it's actually based on a fairly simple concept, namely a sort of “follow and learn” thing, users being provided with both a music-learning app for the iPad and a 88-key digital piano on which to practice.

Plus, the Concert Piano (as this whole system is called) also sports an iPad dock, meaning that users will be able to enjoy some completely interactive lessons, the tablet from Apple acting both as an instructor (via the aforementioned app) or, need be, as a digital music sheet.

Moreover, the digital piano has a stylish wood grain, which helps it blend in a little easier with the rest of the furniture items around your home, but also built-in speakers and piano sounds, which let users start practice immediately, even in the absence of an iPad.

Of course, we're not really expecting this thing to deliver the same level of music realism and quality enjoyed by a real-life, wooden piano, but we're pretty sure that it will deliver quite an interesting experience, especially for the true iPad fans out there.

However, when the iPad is docked, the Concert Piano really proves its worth, both by helping users improve their piano-playing capabilities and by playing some music directly via the built-in speakers.

Sadly, we haven't yet been able to come up with pricing details for the Concert Piano from ION Audio, but we're certainly do our best in order to find out more info on this topic in the near future.
