“New Moon,” the second installment in the “Twilight” franchise, drops in theaters on November 20, which means fans have just a little over a month of waiting ahead of them. Given the immediate release of the much-hyped production, it’s no wonder the stars appearing in it are also beginning to get more coverage in the media. Taylor Lautner, for one, is believed to appear on the upcoming cover of the iconic Rolling Stone magazine.

Reports in the media say that the young actor, who plays wolf Jacob Black in the “Twilight” films and who has infamously had to pack about 30 pounds of muscle for the transformation that occurs in “New Moon,” will be the big surprise of the next issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Not only will he be featured on the cover of the mag, but he’ll also appear in a photospread and do an interview for RS, reports say. He may as well have gotten started already with the first two, JustJared says.

On Thursday, October 8, Lautner was on a beach in Los Angeles, doing his best to impress the camera in what was believed to be his big Rolling Stone shoot. “The 17-year-old Twilight hunk showed off his back muscles as he tossed around a football and drove around on a motorcycle. Taylor was also seen showing off his balancing skills, standing on one hand and doing back flips.” the aforementioned celebrity gossip e-zine says. From the looks of the pictures made available, Taylor will show fans just what they’re to expect from Jacob in “New Moon,” in case there still are any doubts lingering as to that.

Still, what with the excessive attention on his recently toned physique, Taylor says he still hasn’t gotten used to the idea that he’s this big superstar, and still blushes whenever someone insists on his six-pack or strong arms. Being considered a “hottie” was somewhat embarrassing, Taylor was saying in a recent interview, and chances were he would never get used to it because, deep down inside, he was still the same boy who had started off in “Twilight,” only heavier at the moment.

“It’s actually quite uncomfortable knowing so many people are seeing that!” Lautner was saying just recently of the way the entire media seemed to be fixated on his physique at that point in time. “It’s a little bit embarrassing!” the actor added with a smile.
