Canadian wireless carrier TELUS has just posted a new coming soon page on its website, this time around for the high-end HTC Desire HD smartphone, confirming this way that it won't be too long before the new device makes it to its users' hands. The new device was unveiled officially in September last year, and comes to the market with Google's Android 2.2 operating system.

Rumors on its near availability on the Canadian market started to emerge a while ago, but nothing was confirmed officially until now, when the said “coming soon” page went live at TELUS here.

“With a huge HD touchscreen, amazing speeds for gaming, apps, browsing and multiple device mobile Wi-Fi hotspot capability, the Android 2.2 powered HTC Desire HD will impress you,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

Unfortunately, it seems that no specific info on the availability or pricing of the new Android mobile phone emerged for the time being.

However, the guys over at MobileSyrup note that previous leaks on the matter showed that the smartphone might be released in about two weeks from now, and that it could sport a price tag of $499.99 off contract, though the info was said to be inaccurate.

In case there are some who might have not meet the HTC Desire HD before, here's what TELUS has to say on it's features:

- 4.3" touchscreen with a super fast 1 GHz processor and download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps - Create a Wi-Fi hotspot to share web access with up to 8 devices like your tablet or laptop - Intuitive Android user interface with HTC Sense brings new themes, widgets and integrated social networking - Adobe Flash 10.1 support for a richer Web experience

Hopefully, it won't be too long before the new device makes its way to the Canadian market, so stay tuned for more on this. In the meantime, you can learn more on the device through heading to its page at TELUS here.
