Recently, Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced officially the release of two new handsets on the market in the Philippines, namely the HTC Desire HD and the Desire Z, both of which are running under Google's Android operating system.

The new devices also come to the market with the new HTC Sense user interface from the leading handset vendor, which has been developed so as to focus on the customer, through placing the people at the center.

“We’re excited to be taking the HTC Sense experience beyond the phone to a whole new level with a series of connected HTC services we call HTCSense.com,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation.

“Our customers will value the holistic approach we’re taking to enhance their mobile experience. This customer-first philosophy has resonated with people buying HTC phones and this drives us to continue introducing new innovative smartphones like the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z.”

The new HTC Desire HD and the HTC Desire Z offer a nice range of other features as well, powered by the high-end hardware the company packed inside them.

Thus, the HTC Desire HD comes with a bright 4.3” Super LCD display, beneath which it sports a 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor for enhanced performance levels.

Moreover, the mobile phone comes with Dolby Mobile and SRS surround sound, and with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with dual LED flash and 720p HD video recording.

“Building on the unibody heritage of the HTC Legend, the HTC Desire HD is sculpted from a block of solid aluminum and exudes the air of quality and strength that HTC has come to be known for,” the company notes.

The HTC Desire Z pairs a touchscreen display with a side sliding QWERTY keyboard, while offering fast performance and improved battery life via its new 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor.

The specifications list of this mobile phone also includes a 5-megapixel camera with flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities, as well as fast access to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

The HTC Desire HD is expected to become available for purchase in the country at the end of December, featuring a price tag of PhP 35,000. The HTC Desire Z is already on sale at all authorized resellers at Php 32,000.
