In addition to the LG Optimus One, wireless carrier T-Mobile UK seems set to launch a series of other Android-based devices too, including the recently made official HTC Desire HD, as it already lists the new mobile phone as coming soon to its offering.

According to the wireless operator, the new device should be released on its airwaves sometime in October, though specific info on this still has to emerge, it seems.

The best part of the deal is that the HTC Desire HD is set to land at T-Mobile UK for free on a £40 a month, 24 month contract.

With specs like a 4.3-inch touchscreen, MP3 player and radio, an eight mega pixel camera with HD video, Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) functionality or the Android 2.2 operating system with support for Adobe flash 10.1, the new mobile phone should appeal a lot to the carrier's users.

Some of the main features of HTC Desire HD include:

- HD video recording - DLNA enabled - App Sharing application for sharing Android apps with friends - Friend Stream, to bring social networking updates together in one screen - MP3 player and radio - MS Active Sync for easy synching with work and personal email - 14.4Mbps download speed - 1 GHz (Snapdragon) processor for quick navigation to support Adobe flash 10.1 - 4.3” WVGA brilliant display

The original HTC Desire has been extremely popular with our customers, and the Desire HD takes what was great about the Desire and builds on this for an even richer user experience,” Nicola Shenton, Head of Handset and Device Marketing at T-Mobile UK said.

“The handset is ideal for multimedia fans who want everything from their phone, and with thousands of apps available from Android Marketplace, customers can fully customize their phone to make it their own.”

T-Mobile UK is the first wireless carrier in the country to have put the new HTC Desire HD mobile phone on its website on a coming soon page.

Moreover, it seems that UK mobile phone users looking forward to purchase a new HTC Desire HD can already head over to T-Mobile UK's website here to register their interest in the new device.
