Stress may be taking a heavy toll on Susan Boyle again, although, hopefully, this time, things are not as bad as when she was still in the run for the number-one spot in Britain’s Got Talent competition. Reports in the British media say the singer had to be rushed to the hospital over the weekend for stomach pains, as HollyScoop can confirm.

Fans know that Susan also checked herself to The Priory mental health clinic in London this summer, as she was suffering from exhaustion and was clearly not prepared to deal with the consequences of international (almost instant) fame. This time, though, the visit to the hospital had nothing to do with her mental condition, but rather with stomach pains of which she had been complaining for days.

“Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle had to be hospitalized on Saturday after suffering from extreme stomach pains. Boyle complained of cramps at her home in West Lothian, Scotland Saturday morning and the pain became so severe, she was taken to a local hospital for emergency tests.” HollyScoop writes. Fortunately, the singer was let go only hours later, after doctors did the necessary tests and presumably also gave her something for the pain.

A spokesperson for Susan refused to make additional comments to the media about her condition, although he did confirm that she had to be taken to the hospital over the weekend. According to the statement from Boyle’s camp, her condition should worry no one at this point, as she’s doing “absolutely fine,” which could also mean whatever was wrong with her has been solved in the meantime.

In other Susan Boyle-related news, whose album drops this November and is one of the hottest and most anticipated releases of the year, several other British media outlets report that she’s preparing for a Christmas special show that will air on ITV, the same network that also carries the show that launched her, Britain’s Got Talent. No confirmation has come yet from ITV as regards this TV special, but, granted the reports are accurate, it should appear very soon.
