A leaked flyer shows

BlackBerry Storm 2, the second touchscreen capable smartphone the Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is working on, is expected to come to the market within the following weeks, and it seems that it might even get included in Verizon Wireless' Buy One Get One promotion that currently applies to a handful of other Blackberry devices available with the carrier.

A recent post on BlackBerry Rocks! shows a shot of a promo flyer that seems to have leaked directly from Verizon Wireless and which shows that the Buy One Get One BlackBerry promotion will be extended to the soon-to-come Storm 2 smartphone. The news comes rather as a surprise, in case the company indeed plans on putting the second Storm handset in the promotion right from the start.

As many of you might already know, the original Storm is already included in the BOGO promotion, only that the deal kicked off about half a year after the device was launched. Considering the fact that Storm 2 is reportedly heading to the market with a wide range of improvements over the original model, it somehow doesn't make sense for Big Red to offer it for free with the promotion right from the start.

However, there are a series of possible scenarios that should be taken into consideration. The promotion requires for two contract agreements to be signed with Verizon, this is a well-known fact, and having a brand-new phone included in the deal would certainly enable Big Red to increase its customer base. At the same time, the Storm 2 should be priced higher than other available BlackBerries, which means that the second one they get should be cheaper, and Verizon might also restrict users from getting two Storm 2 devices at the same time.

There are no exact details on when the handset will be launched on the market, but rumors have it that it should become available before the end of the ongoing month, which means that more details on the presence of Storm 2 with the BOGO promotion should emerge shortly.
