A Smart Radio app for handsets

Android mobile phone users around the world can now enjoy a new application on their devices, namely Stitcher. The new software solution is a free app available for download from the Android Market, which will deliver on-demand news and talk radio directly to the handsets running under Google's Android operating system.

According to the company, the new app is available for handsets running under Android 1.6 or higher, and offers background playing, so that users can access other applications while listening to news and talk radio on the move. The software solution already proved to be one of the most popular apps for the iPhone, Palm Pre, and BlackBerry, and now it is available for the large community of Android fans around the world.
