14 DAY TRIAL // Shortly after Sprint announced the upcoming availability of the Nexus S 4G from Google on its airwaves this spring, Best Buy unveiled that it would have the handset would available for pre-order for its customers.
All Sprint users interested in the purchase of the new Nexus S 4G should head over to Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile standalone stores nationwide to reserve a unit.
The new mobile phone will become available for purchase later this spring via Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile standalone stores nationwide, as well as through the retailer's website.
According to the company, users interested in comparing and purchase this handset would be able to do so only via Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores, in addition to Sprint stores all around the country.
“The exclusive launch of Nexus S from Google was a landmark for us and it continues to be one of our best-selling devices,” said Scott Anderson, head of merchandising for Best Buy Mobile.
“Bringing Nexus S 4G to our stores is one more way we’re making it as easy as possible for people to find the phone that’s right for them.”
The Nexus S 4G is the very first Android 2.3 Gingerbread-based device to arrive on shelves with support for Sprint's WiMAX services.
Moreover, this is the very first 4G handset in the United States to include a 4-inch Contour Display, along with support for Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities.
“It also delivers a pure Google experience: unfiltered access to Google mobile services and the latest and greatest Android releases and updates,” Best buy notes on its website.
The new mobile phone arrives at Sprint with support for a wide range of Google Mobile Services, along with Google Voice integration, and fast access to the Android Market, for downloading and installing applications.
The specs list of this handset would include a 1GHz application processor, 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, front-facing camera for video calling, 16GB of internal memory, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and the like.
