Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, one of the latest Android-based smartphones that Japanese-Swedish handset vendor unveiled to the world during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, is expected to arrive on the market in Germany with a price tag of €346 attached to it.

No official announcement on this was made until now, but the handset can be seen listed at Amazon Germany with this price tag attached to it.

The retailer notes that the usual price tag for this handset is of €479, but that users who would like to pre-order one unit today would be able to do so while saving €133.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia neo was unveiled with a nice range of capabilities packed inside, though it might not be able to stay on the same line as some other smartphones that Sony Ericsson announced this year.

The specifications list of this device includes a 3.7 inches touchscreen that boasts a 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) resolution, a Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, just as on other handsets from the company.

With a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 application processor inside, the new Xperia neo runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and offers support for a wide range of services and applications available for it.

The smartphone also includes 320 MB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, (an 8GB microSD included in the package).

Sony Ericsson packed it with an 8.1-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with HD video recording (720p) capabilities, and LED flash (Sony’s Exmor R for mobile).

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DLNA, HDMI support, and 3.5mm headphone jack were also included into the mix. The Sony Ericsson Xperia neo measures 116.0 x 57.0 x 13.0 mm and weighs in at 126.0 grams.

The smartphone should become available for purchase later this month in various markets in Europe. Mobile phone users living in Germany and interested in pre-ordering the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo from Amazon should head to the retailer's website here.
