The letter “a” in the name of this Sony Ericsson device is significant since it represents the fact that this is the American version we're talking about, after having been spotted at FCC. It's expected to cause quite a bit of stir considering the fact that its camera capabilities are spectacular. In addition, the C905a features most of the other desired advanced features a mobile should have in order to become a must-have.

To further detail the main “event,” the C905 features an 8.1 Megapixel CMOS (3264x2448, 7,99 effective pixels) camera with autofocus, Xenon flash, 3-led videolight, focus assist lamp and self portrait mirror. The camera also has image stabilizer, face detection autofocus for up to three faces, 16x digital zoom, Auto Rotate, BestPic and a Mechanical lens cover. The video recording QVGA (320x240pixels) capabilities, dedicated camera still/record/review key dual function D-pad and a photo album have been added to increase the camera's manageability and enable it to deliver a more personal and satisfactory experience.

Other features such as A-GPS with picture geotagging, Bluetooth, DNLA technologies, MicrosoftExchangeActiveSync and Netfront 4.5 web browser with autorotate capabilities make this device capture your attention from the first moment.

Regarding the audio specs, the only capabilities worth mentioning are the FM radio with RDS, PlayNow 5.0 and the MediaPlayer 3.0 with Megabass. Moving on, about the last things that catch our eye is the 160MB and the 2GB M2 memory included, plus the micro card slot for up to 8GB cards.

The release date and the price tag for the C905 have not been set yet. Fortunately, it is known that it will be on sale via AT&T, using the American 3G network. It will only come in three colors, namely Copper Gold, Ice Silver and Night Black.
