The new K-series Sony Ericsson phone, K530c, has just been approved by FCC and can also be viewed on the Sony Ericsson website, along with the other "coming soon" handsets. The phone looks exactly like the K530i model, released by Sony Ericsson in June this year, and also brings about the same features. With a minus, because the K530c candybar doesn't have 3G capabilities, as the other K530 does, which makes it only a tri-band 900/1800/1900 GSM phone.

The new Sony Ericsson K530c measures 102 x 46 x 14 millimeters, weighs 92 grams and has a 262K color TFT display that provides a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The candybar will come with pre-installed Access Netfront browser, so that users can easily search the Web and shop online while on the go. A decent 2 Megapixel camera with 2.5 digital zoom and video recording capability is included, to offer pictures that can be sent via multimedia messages or uploaded to personal blogs or other web locations.

The handset comes with Bluetooth, USB and Memory Stick Micro support for increasing the memory up to 2 G. Furthermore, the phone is Java enabled and comes with 3D games, Music Player, TrackID, PlayNow and Media Player. Other nice features include FM Radio, RSS feeds to offer the latest news, a weather application (with a 3-day forecast), polyphonic ring tones, sound recorder, speaker phone and predictive text input.

Sony Ericsson K530c is currently available only in China, but it's expected to hit the US market pretty soon, most probably at the beginning of 2008. There are no details about the carrier that will bring the phone or about its price, but since the K530i model costs about $300, we should expect K530c to retail for a bit less than that.
