As they’re preparing for the second season of the highly successful TLC series “Sister Wives,” the Brown family, made of 16 children, 4 wives and the husband, is also preparing for something bigger: relocating to Nevada.

As fans of the hit show must already know, the Browns came under serious fire from Utah authorities after the first episode aired, launching an investigation into the case to see whether they could be charged with bigamy, a crime in the state.

TMZ says the move to Nevada has nothing to do with the investigation, especially since it did not end with the Browns being charged for any crime. It’s simply a new place for the wives to look for jobs.

“Sources close to the Browns tell us Kody will be moving the gang to Nevada so he and his wives can ‘explore new job opportunities’,” TMZ reports.

Indeed, as the show aired, a couple of the Brown wives complained about losing the jobs they had before they became reality stars, because people did not wish to have them on board anymore.

Without jobs, their only other option was to be housewives and, they said, not all of them wanted just that from life.

“Brown – who was at the center of the felony bigamy investigation in Utah – shouldn’t face as much scrutiny for his living situation in Nevada, where cohabitation between a man and his unlicensed ‘wives’ is not a crime,” TMZ notes.

“As for the move – we’re told the fam should be on the road in the next few days,” the same e-zine says.

Aside from the new “job opportunities,” it is believed the move will also offer a new means of showing the Browns in their everyday life – just the perfect type of material to be documented on camera.

To put it differently, word on the blogosphere has it that the move is staged by TLC to make sure viewers tune back in March, when the second season of the show debuts; after all, moving such a large family can’t but be a serious challenge.
