Duchess Sarah Ferguson was not invited at the royal wedding this weekend, when Prince William and Katherine Middleton said I Do. This was to be expected, considering the 2010 bribing scandal she was involved in, but a snub she didn’t want to let go that easily.

In light of the latest Internet meme / craze of Princess Beatrice and her horrible fascinator, a new conspiracy theory suggests that, while Bea is not a stranger to odd fashion choices, this time it was her mother’s doing.

In other words, it was the Duchess who plotted and schemed to have her two daughters dress outrageously for the wedding, as a slap in the face of the Royal Family, who did not invite her to the wedding, PopEater writes.

Because there’s nothing that Sarah hates more than being ignored, she made sure her daughters were the talk of the town at the wedding with their crazy fashion.

Possibly, this way, Fergie also hoped to prove that, while she might be temporarily silenced, she couldn’t be forced to go away for good, word has it.

“I’m sure Sarah helped pick out those hats. The one thing Sarah hates more than anything is being ignored and this was her way of saying [expletive] you to the family who would rather pretend she doesn’t exist,” a friend of the Duchess says for the aforementioned celebrity e-zine.

While Beatrice turned heads and got tongues wagging with her fascinator (by esteemed milliner Philip Treacy), her sister Eugenie was not to be outdone, getting all eyes on her with her brightly-colored outfit and equally outrageous headwear.

“There is a lot of competition within the family to out-dress each other,” the insider further explains.

“And nothing draws more attention to you than an elaborate hat. I guarantee you that a lot of time, thought and money went into selecting these works of art. Nothing happens by chance in that family!” adds the spy.

As we also noted the other day, Princess Beatrice’s fascinator has become the talk of the town – and not necessarily in a good way.
